I have recently come to the realization that a woman’s eyebrows can make or break her features. Don’t ask me why it took me 24, almost 25 years to figure this out! Once I had this epiphany, I was outraged that none of my friends had ever told me just how awful my eyebrows were. I would look in the mirror and think ’seriously? like seriously?!’ I was so obsessed that I went through pictures of myself and studied them. My eyebrows looked like rainbows, and THAT my friend is NOT what eyebrows are supposed to look like! I always would see gorgeous woman with perfectly manicured eyebrows and stare in wonder at how much it added to their features. This led me towards fixing one of my many obsessions. I was to let my eyebrows grow free for 2 months. Once they were grown out, I would go and let someone else shape them for the very first time. Can you believe it? I was an eyebrow esthetic virgin. Well it’s pretty believable I guess, considering mine were rainbow shaped. The first few weeks was VERY annoying, seeing random hairs growing in and not plucking them. However, once they started to fill in I began to actually like my natural shape, and feel better. There was obviously some manicuring that needed to be done, but I was on the right track. So…very long story turning short (it has been over 3 months), today I went to go get my eyebrows shaped and threaded. Lesson #406: Never ever ever ever create your own shape, go to a professional. Lesson #407: When your daughters are old enough to start manicuring their eyebrows – bring them into a professional!!! It’s only $20. You don’t want your daughters to walk around looking like a clown, like I did my whole life thus far!

See for yourself – The first one is before I grew back my eyebrows (I am wearing large sunglasses, but I am sure you can still find the gold at the end of the rainbow). The next two are today’s before and after shots.
